May 10 2024

The “International Ships Registry of Guinea-Bissau”, most known as G-B International or GBI is happy to announce that it will be showcasing at POSIDONIA 2024, the world’s most coveted professional maritime fair that is taking place in Athens, from 3 till 7 June at Athens Metropolitan Expo Center.

Bringing together more than 2000 exhibitors from around the world from which figure the Greek and international shipping services communities, shipbuilders and fleet merchants, POSIDONIA 2024 is surely a unique opportunity to explore the maritime industry’s latest advancements and interact with suppliers and companies from across the shipping world. On this occasion, GBI professional team of experts will be pleased to welcome all visiting clients and business partners in Hall 2, stand No 2.250 to discover firsthand the registry’s insights and services.

In fact, since its creation in the first quarter of the year 2022, the “International Ships Registry of Guinea-Bissau” has been primarily investing in its workforce and its operators’ network, initiating a skilled and experienced team to render the most efficient, liable and safe routes to all its vessels.

And in its constant effort to fulfill all the needs of shipowners and their seafarers, not forgetting to apply all maritime rules and protocols that regulate this always evolving industry, GBI has since been operating as an open flag, implementing no restriction on the nationalities of the shipowners or the manning crew.

Registered under Greek law and exclusively appointed by the ministry of Transports and Communications of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, GBI is the sole entity granted the authorization to register any kind of vessel - merchant, passengers or leisure - navigating the international waters. With offices in Greece and Lebanon, GBI strategic emplacement in these two cosmopolite and maritime Mediterranean cities has undeniably played a major role in attracting all sorts of commercial and leisure vessels while providing them with easy ship registration services that abide by international standards of safety, security and environmental protection.

And with a growing network of 17 deputy registrars (DR) located in strategic parts of the world – London, Croatia, Turkey, UAE, The Netherlands, Panama, Cyprus, Egypt, Ivory Coast, China, South Korea and Russia – GBI closely cooperates with both IACS and Non-IACS Certification Societies that perform statutory inspections and issue relative certificates for all the vessels flying the Guinea- Bissau flag.
